RELEASE BLITZ ~~~~ I do(n't) by Leddy Harper

MY REVIEW ~~~~ 5 out of 5 stars

Wow, this book made me cry so much. Some of it was from laughing at the pranks and banter between Janelle and Holden and the rest was at how much their lack of communication hurt both themselves and each other. Thank goodness for Ronnie and her words of wisdom - that girl deserves a story of her own.

This was also a book that, once I started, I just didn't want to put down. So i didn't. Luckily I had the day off so I sat and read, and read and read some more. I read until I got to the very end, with a sappy smile on my face and my emotions having been put through the wringer. It left me with a humongous book hangover of the very best kind.

The story may sound a bit familiar but actually there are so many plot twists (and boy the one that Janelle reveals in the hotel room really came out nowhere!) that it isn't familiar at all. Leddy Harper as taken a second chance trope and totally made it her own.

Janelle and Holden both needed their heads knocking together at times ... you just knew their messed up reasoning, misconceptions and the assumptions each had made would come back to bite them. But instead of finding either of them irritating, the way their emotions, thoughts and feelings were portrayed actually made my heart ache for them, as well as fall indefinitely in love with them just a little bit (o.k. maybe a lot).

I genuinely loved every part of this book and wouldn't want to change anything. Like Mary Poppins it was 'practically perfect in every way'. I'm going to lie down now in a darkened room in an attempt to recoup and recover from this, and perhaps dwell a little longer on the wonderfulness that is I Do(n't).

Title: I Do(n't)

Author: Leddy Harper

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Blurb

I fell in love with Holden York when I was six years old.

Most of my youth came with spiral notebooks filled with doodles, wedding plans, and “Janelle York” looped in bubbly handwriting.

However, one night in Vegas changed everything.

I woke up to more than just a fantasy of my brother’s best friend.

Five years later, I'm standing on his doorstep confronting him about the secret he kept from me.

If you think this is the story of how we rode off into the sunset together…
You’re so wrong.

But if you think this is the story of how Holden blackmailed me into living with him...

You couldn't be more right.

Author Bio

Leddy Harper had to use her imagination often as a child. She grew up the only girl in a house full of boys. At the age of fourteen, she decided to use that imagination and wrote her first book, and never stopped.

She often calls writing her therapy, using it as a way to deal with issues through the eyes of her characters.

She is now a mother of three girls, leaving her husband as the only man in a house full of females.

The decision to publish her first book was made as a way of showing her children to go after whatever it is they want to. Love what you do and do it well. Most importantly Leddy wanted to teach them what it means to overcome their fears.
