The Fervor

I somehow came across a blog offering free books, one of which was called The Fervor.  I liked the look of the cover (I know you shouldn't judge this way but lots of us must do it if there is a saying about it).  Anyway I had expected a spicy romance/erotic read from the cover picture (which has since been updated).  What I got was a fast paced, thrilling paranormal spicy read that was so much better than anything I had expected.

I've reviewed the book on Goodreads but reading it back I don't think I conveyed just how much I enjoyed the book!  This is a very talented new author who writes exciting and gripping stories.

 My review

I picked up a copy of this of instafreebie. How chuffed am I about that? This book has it all, laughs, drama, love and loss. The characters were well written, the plot flowed smoothly and the storyline was well developed. The dialogue 'read' well (some authors write such stilted dialogue but this certainly wasn't).

The cover suggests the Hero and Heroine are older than they turn out to be - but unlike some New Adult books this is written for a mature audience and the characters are not childish or naïve. They were so likeable too.

I highly recommend this book - I cant wait to see if the author writes a follow up and will definitely be reading it when it comes out.
